XXXX debt collector called and reported I owed a debt they are collecting. From check n go in 2018. They verified my name and then the last 4 digits of my SSN. I expressed my disbelief in this debt, as I have never used this type of service and was hung up on. I called the number back, another individual answered verified my name, again the last 4 digits of my SSN, and I then asked for my address to receive dispute forms, which was then read to me. I expressed my disbelief and was then again hung up on. The debt, they claimed, stemmed from 2018. I have never used check n go services. Frankly I am in high disbelief that i would have been able to qualify for their services in 2018. XXXX debt collector called from XXXX. I will wait to see if this company can provide proof of this debt. I contacted Check n go, Allied Services debt collector for Check n go, they state they have no record of my SSN. As of now this appears as though a phishing scam or bad collecting practices if this is a real licensed debt collector.
