My name is similar to the name on the account but is not me. The name on the account is my father who has a very similar name and lived and had the same mailing address. I have tried to explain this to the original creditor XXXX XXXX. They just give me the run around and do not want to investigate the fraud and issues. So instead of working with me to get it resolved, they just charge it off on their taxes and sold the debt to a debt collector and I have to start all over again with them. It has been nothing but a headache, XXXX who owns the debt now has forwarded it to a law firm. I tried to talk and explain the problem with them, and they do not want to hear it, and just threaten court action if I do not pay. I finally got some forms and paperwork from Resurgent Capital Services to fill out and maybe now it will be looked into on XX/XX/2023. Hoping a resolution can be reached after an investigation is completed. I will keep you posted. Thank You
