Consumer Narrative
Had a student loan with Great Lakes paid on time every month for years in XXXX all student loans were stopped with 0 % interest. On XX/XX/XXXX a current balance of the amount XXXX was transferred to a new institution Nelnet. On XX/XX/XXXX logged in to Nelnet to see payment plans and when to start only to find that they have a current balance in the amount of XXXX. Email stating the transfer said nothing would change, still at 0 % interest until payments restarted I did not take out an additional loans. Called and they could not tell me why the current balance had more then doubled in amount owed!!
