On XX/XX/XXXX, I called EdFinancial to request a refund on my student loan balance which had been previously paid off in full ( I have the letters to prove it ). I requested a refund of $ XXXX to correspond with the amount that I would have been forgiven if the Biden student loan forgiveness program had not been blocked. They told me the request had been submitted and that I should see an electronic deposit back in my bank account within 5 months. I never saw the money come back in my bank account, however my student loan balance was updated to show XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called EdFinancial again to request that the refund request be stopped and for the balance to be reversed back to XXXX, as I never actually received the money. They told me that they had requested a paper check be sent in the mail, which was not what I was told would happen in XXXX. I requested to cancel the check as I had never received it and to reverse the balance. EdFinancial then told me they would cancel the check and put in a request to reverse the balance. Since I saw no action being taken, on XX/XX/XXXX I called EdFinancial and I had to wait in a queue where I was quoted a 280 minute wait time. I waited over 5 hours, and then was hung up on. I immediately tried to call back and was given a wait time of 500 minutes which is unacceptably long. I then tried to do the live chat option but the chat was ended by EdFinancial before anyone actually began to talk to me.
