I opened a checkings and savings account with Ally bank and transferred in {$180000.00} from my XXXX XXXX XXXX Checkings to Ally Checkings and then Ally Savings. Then, I wanted my money back in that very same XXXX XXXX XXXX account. I moved it all back from Ally Bank Savings into Checkings. Since they did not allow more than {$10000.00} in transfer at a time, I hade XXXX separate transactions back to my XXXX XXXX XXXX. They locked me out of my account while the transfers are in limbo and I no longer have access to my life savings. I am utterly distraught, worried about whether I can keep up on payments. They refuse to unlock my account despite verifying my identity 6+ times over the last two weeks as they do no reveal details of the " investigation '' they are conducting. I have been provided no ETA of when this matter will resolve. Most bank accounts will just unlock your account same day weeks but I've been sitting in near poverty for almost XXXX weeks. Lastly, one instance I called someone, verified my identity with SSN, security questions, etc and the caller asked me if I am the owner of the account to which I responded " Yes ''. They then promptly said they will disconnect my line because I am not the owner of the account. This sounds so scummy and fishy!
