I graduated college in XXXX with XXXX $ in student loans. These loans were serviced by XXXX XXXX XXXX and the following payments were made on the following dates : XX/XX/XXXX - {$2500.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$1400.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$1400.00}, XXXX {$1300.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$1300.00}. As of XX/XX/XXXX my loans were paid in full. In XX/XX/XXXX with hopes of student loan forgiveness I requested a refund of my loans. I made this request with XXXX as my loans were transferred to them. After months of not receiving a refund and reaching out every few weeks XXXX finally informed me a check was issued but it got lost. With this information I waited a little longer but ultimately cancelled my refund request in XX/XX/XXXX as the stress was not worth it. Since XXXX, I've contacted EdFinancial multiple times to check the status of my account and I just kept being told to check back later. As of Monday XX/XX/XXXX, I still show a balance on my account despite XXXX never receiving a refund, XXXX cancelling the refund request, and XXXX not actually owing anything because my loans are fully paid off. When I reach out I am told to wait but after 5 months my balance should be correctly reflected as XXXX. With payments and interest resuming I will end up having to start paying on my loans for a second time if this is not resolved. While EdFinancial would likely refund that money, it would take 6 months to a year to get it back.
