I never gave written consent for any debt collector to report on my consumer report. Congress never defines credit report yet Im being denied my credit because of a credit report number. Let me correct that. Title 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( 4 ) There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy.Title 15 1691 Scope of Prohibition ( a ) Activities constituting discrimination It shall be unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant, with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction. The consumer has an open ended credit plan but due to information on my consumer report that I never gave consent to report it seems my credit is blocked. They have been misleading the public by calling themselves bureaus when they are nothing more than agencies.
