I am a victim of identity theft and have been in contact with the three major credit bureaus to remove fraudulent information. I recently applied for a rental home with a property management company called XXXX XXXX. I was denied the ability to rent due to a consumer report from Amrent. I have never heard of this company, nor did I ever give this company permission to access my personal information. When I called Amrent to dispute fraudulent information, my call was dropped. I have called multiple times since and have been unable to reach anyone. This is incredibly frustrating as I shouldn't be penalized for fraudulent activity.
