XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, KY XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Last four SSN # XXXX RE : XXXX XXXX Acct # XXXX Equifax are you exercising your grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. In my dispute, I specifically requested that you conduct a reinvestigation into the accuracy of the below item, as provided under the FCRA. You have failed to do so. My consumer report is still containing false and defamatory information, and that you refused either to correct or delete the information in my consumer file after I notified you of the inaccuracy. You can't merely parrot the furnisher information.Your agency 's failure to conduct a proper reinvestigation and your reliance solely on the furnisher 's information not only puts you in violation of the FCRA but also subjects me to potential financial harm and distress, as inaccurate credit reporting can affect my creditworthiness and financial opportunities. 1. Delete this inaccurate account because paid on time in XX/XX/XXXX and I also included my bank statement as proof in my reinvestigation the first time that I paid it on time. I am also including the reinvestigation again Confirmation # XXXX : see attached documents. Proof of a proper reinvestigation was done and no change was made to circle and highlighted XX/XX/XXXX paid on time. Section 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) of the FCRA clearly states that " A consumer reporting agency shall ... conduct a reinvestigation ... of the disputed information. '' This reinvestigation must be conducted in a manner that is fair and reasonable to ensure the accuracy of the information reported. Additionally, Section 611 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( A ) of the FCRA mandates that if the information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete, the consumer reporting agency must promptly correct or delete the information. Failing to do so further compounds the violation of the law. Therefore, I am formally requesting that your agency reopens my dispute and performs a full and diligent investigation into the accuracy of the disputed items, as required by the FCRA. I also demand that any inaccuracies found during this reinvestigation be promptly corrected or deleted from my credit report, in accordance with the provisions of the FCRA.
