Congress passed the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of XXXX ( FACTA ) to add identity theft protection. I have the right to include a fraud alert on my credit report if I have a good-faith suspicion that I am the victim of identity theft. The fraud alert is suppose to notify users of victim of Identity Theft. Fraud alerts are suppose to be free. I also have the right to have a CRA block information related to identity theft from being on my credit report. For example, if an identity thief has used my information to open an account and never paid the bill, I can have this blocked from my credit report. Though I must meet some conditions. If the conditions are met, the CRA has four business days to block this information from being viewed by potential users of your credit report. I have supplied appropriate proof of your identity to the CRA. I have supplied the identity theft report from a federal, state, or local law enforcement agency. I have identified the faulty information on the credit report. I provided a statement to the CRA explaining that you werent connected with the transaction ( s ) involving the identity theft. EXPERIAN has failed to follow these regulations set by the Federal government. THIS INCLUDES XXXX AND XXXX, WHICH ARE GOVERNED BY THE SAME LAWS. CONSUMER WILL BE FILING COMPLAINT FORMS WITH SEC AS THESE COMPANIES ARE SECURITIZING THIS CONSUMERS DATA BUT WONT UPDATE REPORT TO SHOW ACCURATE INFORMATION AND PROVIDE A COPY.
