Someone at a bank re-opened an account I had previously closed. So they used my name and social security number. The bank and the Equifax credit reporting agency refuse to remove the fraudulent information in the report, claiming the the identification information matches my name... yeah, because that's how identity theft works. I have included ANOTHER FTC Identity Theft report, showing that this is a case of fraud, and have gone through all the proper channels of reporting it to local and federal authorities.
