I sent a letter t Experian about a current collection I have on my report about it being a result of identity theft. The amount is from XXXX XXXX a debt collection agency who is reporting I owe a balance to XXXX ( original Creditor ). XXXX XXXX XXXX has an email address tied to the account that is not associated with me at all. I believe this account results from mistaken identity within their system. XXXX the original creditor sent me a letter saying I DO NOT owe a balance, i in fact owe a {$0.00} balance. I filed an Identity theft report with the FTC, Experian refused to back the account and verified the account as accurate although I sent them the letter I received from the original creditor. I would like this account blocked. I believe Experian has violated my consumer rights by not completing a thorough investigation of this account. or reaching out to the original creditor for further knowledge of this account. Experian has also blocked my calls from reaching a human representative, the AI just keeps telling me I can not peak to a human no matter the option I choose, so I can ask for an update or even further clarification. I send emails a no one responds. as of today I can not dispute the account online or within the mobile app because it doesn't show this account as an option but it remains on my credit report.
