My checking account at M & T Bank had unauthorized transactions on XX/XX/2023. The bank notified me of suspicious activity on that day and I immediately contacted the branch to dispute the charges and cancel the card that presumably caused the hack. The total unauthorized charges were {$150.00}. On XX/XX/2023, {$35.00} of those charges were refunded by the vendor. On the same day, the bank issued a provisional credit of {$110.00}. At that point, the account was made whole for the unauthorized charges. However, on XX/XX/2023 the bank reversed {$35.00} of the provisional credits, leaving the account short in that amount. I have called the bank and visited the branch several times, most recently today, to attempt to have the credits restored but there has been no explanation or action. I have received no further correspondence from the bank. The 45 day period for resolving the dispute has passed, the provisional credits appear to remain provisional and remain less than the disputed charges with no explanation provided.
