I was away on XXXX XXXX and a car loan was fraudulently obtained with my information without my knowledge or consent. Ive sent numerous letters with identification proof that I was away in the military in the XXXX XXXX. Ive also provided police report of the identity theft. M & T bank is still reporting this fraudulent account to the credit bureaus, and it is negatively affecting my credit. The dealership that gave this loan out was closed due to fraud. This car loan was obtained with a fraudulent paystub. The dealership did not require any secondary form of identification to obtain this car loan.
