I am submitting a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) to inform the XXXX, Equifax and XXXX Credit Bureaus that I have been a victim of identity theft. After conducting some research, I discovered the necessary steps to address this issue. To remove the fraudulent inquiries from my credit report, I need to file an identity theft report with the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ). You can find more information on this process at their website : https : //www.ftc.gov. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) section 605b, Credit Reporting Agencies are obligated to remove and block any inquiries listed on an identity theft report. I have attached the relevant documents to aid in the removal of this erroneous information that has been posted on my report.
