My account with CNAC was closed in XXXX and it's listed as a charged-off account for the amount of XXXX. The car needed repairs and had stopped running in XX/XX/XXXX. Instead of working out a solution to repair the car and a payment arrangement to pay for the repairs, they kept the car and listed it as a repossession on my credit report. I had a good payment history with this company from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, then the car stopped running. I requested a 1099-C since the balance is over XXXX. I sent the letter on XX/XX/XXXX. The company sent me back my letter with handwritten notes on XX/XX/XXXX. I am still requesting a 1099-C form for the charged-off amount listed on my credit report.
