XXXX and XXXX are horrible and thieves, they have taken me to collections for furniture I never received, I never signed an agreement with them and it is bizarre and crazy that almost XXXX years to the date of supposed delivery and purchase I was taken directly to collections never receiving paperwork or letters. Heres the full story back in XX/XX/XXXX I walked into a XXXX and XXXX store and wanted to purchase a couch, I applied for progressive leasing and was approved but was told the couch was out of stock given XXXX and delays in shipments. I left my personal information at the store located in the XXXX, NY. I never signed an actual purchase agreement. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX yr later ) I received a call from a gentleman claiming to be from XXXX and XXXX talking about a purchase done a year and how progressive leasing did not cover the purchase now imagine my surprise as ( a ) I never received merchandise ( b ) never placed an actual order ( c ) never received letters, emails nor a phone call in the year from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I dispute this transaction and order and I was told theyd investigate, great. I follow up twice with the company and never heard back until this past XX/XX/XXXX when I get a notification from the credit bureaus about a collections account from the XXXX XXXX regarding a balance owed to XXXX and XXXX again surprised and in utter disbelief. I reach out to the collections agency and dispute the charge and of course no help! I reported to the credit bureaus and its under investigation. I asked the collections agency for proof and all I received was a copy of a supposed signed delivery receipt which is XXXX because its not my email nor my signature. I have been transparent providing affidavits of fraud, disputing the account and working with XXXX and XXXX and the collections agency to get this removed and resolved and its been XXXX. No resolution. This is theft as they are charging me for an account I never opened nor had, I am being charged and unlawfully taken to collections for a purchase that never happened.
