On XX/XX/XXXX I received a payoff letter from Nissan Motor Acceptance Company in the amount of {$24000.00}, which included sales tax in the amount of {$1200.00}. This amount also includes the purchase option fee of {$300.00} as listed in the lease agreement. This purchase option quote is good until XX/XX/. On XX/XX/XXXX I initiated a call with Nissan to confirm if I had a last payment due in XXXX since I had established a new loan with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and the first payment was due in XXXX with them. At this time, I was told by XXXX XXXX from Nissan Motor Acceptance Company that the payoff was done incorrect, and I owed an additional {$880.00}. I told them this is unacceptable as the XXXX has already established my new loan and sent them the full payoff and why did it take me to initiate the call and not be notified within 30 days? Saying that after talking with XXXX and his manager ( who hung up on me ) today we have determined that they have processed the check that was sent to them. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX and addressed to XXXX that they received check # XXXX for the funds totaling {$24000.00} to payoff the captioned lease. However, the letter states they are unable to process this payoff for the following reasons. ___ Payoff received was short by an amount of {$880.00} ( I have asked them repeatedly to explain this! ) ___ Other : XXXX PURCHASE OPTION FEE PLUS SHORTAGE XXXX ( What does this mean? ) In the meantime, they are accruing interest on my loan due to their mistake they refuse to own up to.
