This is for past due rent. Around a year ago, I had raised questions about why I owed XXXX $ ( there or about ) when the original amount was XXXX $ ( there or about ). When questioned they sent me a receipt of any damages, past due rent etc, which also included a pick up collection fee of XXXX $ ( there or about ). I found the CFPB website, and upon contacting Rentdebt automated solutions on XX/XX/2023, I was told the agent could not help me since I lived in Minnesota. So I attempted again XX/XX/2023, and when I questioned the representative about the CFPB website, I was informed that I should not be googling things, like how a when you go to doctor and you start googling things about what the doctor said. I had informed her, this was an official government website, I was informed the website was wrong Since we are collection agency we can charge a pick up collection fee, since it is for rent/property. I havent signed anything stating, a fee could be added/interest could be added. The representative told me the only 2 solutions are make a settlement amount, and or pay monthly/bi weekly/weekly
