From XXXX XXXX : Between XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023, a new account in collections was added to your report. The collection agency is MERCANTILE ADJUSTMENT BU. The original creditor was XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have no idea who " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' is, and have never had business with them. A XXXX search does not show any results for a company with that name. I tried to contact the collection agency, but was sent to voice mail or hung up on. This is not my debt and looks to be coming from some form of fraudulent shell company. Also, Mercantile never tried to contact me to resolve before filing with the credit burau.
