An application was submitted for a mortgage modification. For the past three months the account has been under review for mortgage assistance. Though there was a point of contact assigned to the case, XXXX XXXX, I did not hear from him until the complaint was filed with the XXXX. Prior to that time, I was calling and leaving voice messages but there was no response from him. I was also leaving messages in the account portal. There was never any clear or concise information about the loan ; just told it was under review. Just a complete runaround experience! Then the application was allegedly denied but then I was told that information was incorrect and that the application was still under review. During this time, my credit was being adversely affected. When I initially inquired about this, I was told that it was at the lenders ' discretion to report the late payments- which didn't make much sense since I was obviously in dire need of mortgage assistance. However, after speaking with the Loss Mitigation Department, I was advised that the adverse reporting would be reversed once the application was approved. It has now been approved and in light of this unsatisfactory application process that prompted a XXXX complaint, I am requesting for the negative reporting to be removed from my credit profile.
