Consumer Narrative
I have submitted multiple request for XXXX to validate/verify a XXXX auto repossession appearing on my credit reports. I have advised the bank my identity was stolen while traveling. Additionally, I have provided documentation to support my claim i.e police reports, identify theft reports, leases, utility bills, etc. I've also mailed multiple request for All Executed Contracts and Documents on this account to validate/verify this debt and confirm the balance. Demanding that the bank either forward the requested documentation or immediately cease collection and remove this account from my credit file. To Date, I have received conflicting notices from both XXXX ( notice of repossession on XX/XX/XXXX ) and XXXX ( notice of insurance claim on XX/XX/XXXX ). These notices/documents suggest the vehicle was repossessed and involved in an accident on the same day. The notice from XXXX indicates an insurance claim was filed, as a result I received an incident report form requesting information. The notice from XXXX advised of the repo and the right to retrieve personal items. I have sent correspondence to both companies requesting all executed contracts/documentation to validate both accounts - vehicle and insurance. Yet, I have not received a response from XXXX. However, XXXX continues to forward generic letters assuring me the debt is valid without sending any of the requested documents to support their claim. Additionally, XXXX has sent 2 identity theft forms that require MN XXXX. I DO NOT LIVE IN MN. Therefore, i am unable to have the forms notarized. Finally, the XXXX letter indicates the vehicle was repossessed XX/XX/XXXX. It is now XX/XX/XXXXXXXX was the vehicle sold? why is the debt still reporting at XXXX. Is this the deficiency balance? How much was the original debt? Simply - This companys practices are fishy!!! I have escalated these request to the governing authorities XXXX, 3 Major Credit Bureaus, MN Dept of Commerce, and NCUA. Unfortunately, XXXX continues to validate the debt with each agency with out providing me the requested documentation.
