On XXXX XXXX, I called the company and wanted to close the account. They said I had to pay the {$6.00} monthly fee. I argued that it was the beginning of the month and I wasn't going to use the charge card anymore. This was exactly the reason why I wanted to close the account because of the monthly and annual fees. The account has no current outstanding balance due, is in good standing and has been paid on time every month ( including monthly and annual fees ) since opening the account in XX/XX/2019. If I have to pay the monthly fee, then I will never be able to close the account because the fee is charged the first of each month and the account will always have a balance due because of the monthly fee.
