Last month a collection account XXXX XXXX XXXX showed up on my account as a collection for XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have not had service with XXXX XXXX XXXX and have not received any notice in regards to any collection. The collection agency did not have the name or address on my credit file. I disputed the account via Transunion on XX/XX/XXXX. Today XX/XX/XXXX I receive a email to link the results and TransUnion ILLEGALLY verified the account and let XXXX XXXX XXXX change the NAME on their account to MY NAME. So, instead of deleting the account that didn't match my record. They ILLEGALLY verified it and allowed the collection agent to CHANGE the name to my name. The last time I had service with XXXX XXXX XXXX was several years ago and it was a prepaid account with {$0.00} balance. This new collection has nothing to do with me and should never have been verified. Please contact TRANSUNION for engaging in and allowing illegal practices. For reference XXXX saw that the record did NOT match and immediately DELETED it. Meanwhile, TRANSUNION is allowing XXXX to CHANGE the record to match mine.
