I traded my vehicle early XXXX and was ensured my vehicle would be paid off before it was reported late on my credit. As I waited for my vehicle to be paid the deadline was getting close. I called Kia Motor finance on XXXX XXXX ( they have recorded calls by the way ) and they told me that they had not received the pay off from the dealer I traded at. This was not true because this is the date they received the payoff check. I believe this was when it was 28 days late. Anyhow, They told me that I could pay on the XXXX since they still hadnt received the payoff from my dealer and my account would still be not late which is what I ended up doing. Turns out they reported me 30 days late anyways. This dropped my score over 70 points at a time that I am trying to buy a house. This is not right and I would love to get it resolved. On my payment history on the website it says they received the pay off on XX/XX/2023 which was not 30 days late either.
