XXXX XXXX has been incorrectly reporting to Equifax for several months now that I am not only over 120 days but that I owe them {$160.00}. This account was paid in FULL in XXXX of this year. They are stating that they submitted a manual update to Equifax on XX/XX/ but as of today Equifax is still reporting money owed. This has impacted me negatively XXXX XXXX refuses to correct the problem as they have already updated the information and have advised me that I need to correct the problem myself. Credit bureaus report information furnished to them as its furnished to them so if they are reporting false information thats because thats what they have. Also credit bureaus dont accept information from consumers but from creditors, collection agencies, etc. so my only option at this point is to wait for it to age off my report and be removed at that time. I thought by law information had to be correct.
