I was contacted by telephone by someone from Valor Intelligence Processing. They spoofed a XXXX, WA area phone number but when speaking to the first representative, she told me that she was located in Florida. All I was ever told by all the different representatives was that it was regarding a " personal business matter ''. They tried to force me to verify personal information without stating that it was an attempt to collect on a debt. I've received no written communication prior to the phone call. When trying to get them to say what debt it was regarding, they repeatedly stated that they had to verify all personal information first and that it was against the law for them to say what debt or anything beyond " personal business matter '' until things were verified. When asked to speak to someone above a supervisor, the supervisor clearly stated that they were well versed in all of the federal laws and that none of them said that they had to send written communication first, clearly say that the call was an attempt to collect a debt or anything. I was looking at the laws while this individual was making such claims. This is a predatory business that lies and fails to follow the law to get people to verify information before telling them anything they have to.
