I've been attempting to have my sister assume my loan, I contacted the Mortgage company Caliber Home loans. About a month ago I was told that my they would contact the assumptions team and would send out a packet to fill out. I was informed it may take 30 days, the 30 days have come and gone and I have yet to receive the packet, I would understand the actual process of underwriting to take this long, but to even receive the application to take 30 days sounds ridiculous. After waiting the 30 days I have called the mortgage company and each time I inquire about this process I'm told I have to speak with the assumptions group and each time they transfer me I'm on hold for more than 2 hours at a time at which point I get disconnected anyway. I'm not sure what's going on with that company, but they have failed to help me as requested. Having worked at a bank previously I know there may be delays, but I also know when the proverbial ball has been dropped and I feel like it has been dropped this time. First time I contacted Caliber Home Loans was on XX/XX/XXXX. I have subsequently spoken with 5 representatives from that company each with varying results of failure.
