On XX/XX/2023 I opened a checking account with TD Bank. On XX/XX/2023, I deposited a cashiers check for {$4000.00} with the branch teller. To which, I was given a receipt, stating {$100.00} available balance in account. I spent approximately. {$46.00} after leaving the bank... now the account reads XXXX and a 6 day business hold on the cashier 's check. TD Bank claims the hold is due to the checking account being a new account. However, a 6day business hold for a cashier 's check is execcessive. Additionally I was given a false record of what the available balance was after depositing the check..I find that it was unfair and deceptive. .
