Im writing this complaint regarding some late payment I received in XXXX of XXXX. In XXXX, I lost my job due to my current company having to lay a lot of people off to recover from all the losses that were taken during Covid-19. I have been a long-term faithful customer of One Main since XXXX and have never missed a payment. I sent a good will letter on XX/XX/XXXX, asking One Main to remove the late payment and the company sent me a generated letter advising me that it couldnt be removed. I feel as if the company is discriminating and not investigating the full details of my account. Everyone didnt lose their job during the peak of Covid-19. Some people were fortunate to maintain employment. During the peak of the pandemic, all companies offered customers all kinds of different support to help avoid late payments or loss of their homes, cars, etc. A lot of people were using the pandemic to abuse their creditors, unemployment, and state government funds. People like me who maintained their employment still made on times to all my creditors but once my job laid me off due to Covid-19, it seems as if none of the relationships I built with all my creditors cared to help me and it hurts to know that the relationship isnt valued. If a customer who has never paid their account late in years starts missing payments, the company should know something is really wrong and offer help. I would like someone to really investigate the issue of the late payment I received and remove the only late payment I have ever received from my credit reports. This late payment is destroying my credit worthiness.
