My student loans were transferred to Nelnet in XX/XX/2022. I have been making payments of {$500.00} to {$1000.00} per month and recently discovered Nelnet has only been crediting my loans with {$40.00} payments. I contacted Nelnet customer service weeks ago and provided them with printouts from my XXXX XXXX reflecting the dates and amounts of the electronic payments to Nelnet. As of today, Nelnet is unable to tell me where the missing funds are and why they haven't applied the funds to my loans. I received a call from customer service approximately two weeks after notifying them of the discrepancies and they informed me they have not made any progress in determining what has happened to the thousands of dollars I have sent them since they assumed servicing responsibilities for my student loans. I have researched this issue and discovered that this is not an isolated situation and countless other borrowers have complained of similar misconduct by Nelnet.
