I secured a mortgage through XXXXXXXX XXXX by my first mortgage payment they had sold my mortgage to Pennymac. First payment due date was XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a NOTICE OF XXXX XXXX UNPAID PROPERTY TAX FOR 2023. The overdue tax was due XX/XX/XXXX and has incurred {$180.00} in overdue fees. I spoke with Pennymac last week and they said it could take up to 14 days for the m to investigate. I also spoke with XXXX county and if the tax is not paid by XX/XX/XXXX, another overdue fee will be incurred. Today I received a letter from Pennymac titled " Request for W-9 IMPORTANT TAX NOTICE ACTION REQUIRED by XX/XX/2023 Backup Withholding Warning! '' I don't understand why, with money in escrow for property taxes, they did not pay the tax bill and are now sending threatening letters.
