I have a leased Acura 2020ILx that has been with the dealership auto repair unit since XX/XX/XXXX. The car was due back mid XXXX on account of a back ordered part. I had to escalate ( through corporate customer relations ) obtaining the part and the part finally arrived at the dealership on XX/XX/XXXX. I am hoping to get part of my lease payments refunded as I was not accommodated by Acura in way of a loaner, reimbursed for additional out of pocket payments and kept endlessly hanging till I escalated the complaint process within the company. I want you to be aware that customers that lease vehicles are trapped and bound to their contracts with auto companies. All repairs need to take place at the dealership with certified parts. In the eventuality of unforeseen issues like supply chain breakdowns exacerbated by Covid, customers are left hanging, waiting on unreasonable delays, exceeding 180 days, while companies do nothing to accommodate financial impact on consumers. Please do let me know what recourse I have.
