Equifax falsely " verified '' that my account with XXXX XXXX XXXX has a balance. This is patently false and is perpetuating the reporting of inaccurate information on my report. I provided Equifax proof, but they are maintaining the " verified '' inaccurate information and " reinvestigating, '' when the furnisher is instead saying it is " up to the credit bureaus, '' so it is clear that Equifax is intentionally maintaining false data. I attempted to again submit the evidence of a XXXX balance, but Equifax does not seem to have the ability to fax in supporting documents, despite the cfpb online articles saying otherwise ( cfpb database of articles includes one expressly stating that Equifax maintains the ability to submit dispute documents by fax ). See attached evidence.
