I opened the Business Checking account at American Express online after filling out required account details however, somehow my business 's TIN number is showing up in both the actual place where TIN is supposed to but also as my personal SSN. I have tried numerous times to get American Express to fix this mistake and they are asking me to close this account completely ; get a new TIN number as the company would not allow me to use the same TIN and reopen a brand new account with the new TIN and SSN. This is unacceptable and having to get a new TIN is an entire process with cost and time issues. The company must fix this at the earliest rather than cause me further delays and heartaches making an unreasonable demands.
