On Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX, I emailed Chime to tell them that when I tried to transfer {$10000.00} ( the total balance ) out of my Chime checking account to a XXXX XXXX, I was unable to do so. I received an error that said I needed to activate my debit card to do so. I requested a debit card, received it, activated it, confirmed the activation, and was still unable to transfer money out. I emailed Chime a subsequent ten times asking why this was. I sent them screenshots of my app showing that the XXXX account I tried to transfer money to was successfully linked, but that it would not show as an option when I tried to transfer money. I believe this is Chime 's way of preventing customers from leaving their bank, as their email replies were full of unhelpful remarks such as " I know how important for you to know that information ''.
