I had a vehicle loan through Mariner Finance , LLC in XXXX the vehicle I had financed through them was involved and considered a total loss in an auto accident by the insurance company in late XXXX the balance of the loan was paid by the auto insurance company at the time of the accident. Shortly after the accident Mariner Finance claimed there was a balance of roughly {$1400.00} that was not covered by the insurance and began collection activities, when I called and spoke to someone to dispute the balance they were claiming was still open I was offered a settlement amount of nearly half of that which i declined because I knew I did not owe any further money on the loan. As of today XX/XX/XXXX Mariner Finance has continued to report false and inaccurate information to the 3 credit bureau 's claiming that I owe them in excess of {$3.00} dollar and each month they keep increasing the amount of the debt they claim is owed they are unable to provide any verification of the debt as this has been disputed multiple times with them and each time they try to settle for 50 % of what they are falsely claiming is owed. If this company continues to report this false information and continues to damage my credit I will be left with no options then to take legal action against them in court,
