I use my First National Bank of Omaha XXXX rewards XXXX for checking in at XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. The card was to be charged for resort fee if {$40.00} and any incidentals. I checked out and was charged {$1100.00}. I called the hotel and they informed me that the charge was for dining at a steakhouse in the resort charged to my room. I did not dine there and an investigation was opened. I spoke to a manager at circa on XX/XX/2023 and was told that a refund has been initiated. I called back a few days later and they said refund was processed but it still showed up on my card statement. I opened a dispute with first national bank of Omaha, the card issuer on XX/XX/2023. Since then they have not helped me resolve this in a timely manner. I get transferred from department to department when calling in. I called circa again XX/XX/2023 and they stated refund has been issued and any further issues need to be take with the card issuer. I call for an update with first national and they say they are still working on the investigation. I received a letter from first national on XX/XX/2023 and they state they need proof from me to support my claim. Isnt getting proof part of what an inv estigator doing an investigation is for? I call first national on XXXX and state that I have a recording of the manager saying he issued the refund. First national tells me I need to call back in two days when the investigation department is working because he doesnt know how to receive the recording from me. This is frustrating and I just want a resolution to something that should be straight forward and what so many other credit card issuers get right.
