I am almost XXXX yrs old and want to live in a senior community for a reasonable price. I recently had the opportunity to purchase a co-operative CASH because of a personal injury settlement. I found a co-op for {$70000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. In order to qualify I was told I need income and credit score requirements, as well as background and criminal checks. I was not worried about income, but credit score was borderline ( around 665 ). After almost a month, on XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email denying my application. I received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, called " Adverse Action Notice '' denying my application, showing a credit score of XXXX ON XX/XX/XXXX, which claims they obtained my credit score from the consumer reporting agency EXPERIAN. I assume this is the company that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX uses to either accept or reject applicants. I PAID THEM A {$100.00} DEPOSIT. My {$100.00} deposit check is dated XX/XX/XXXX and was held until XX/XX/XXXX when all my information was received. HOW COULD THEY HAVE PULLED MY XXXX XXXX FROM EXPERIAN ON XX/XX/XXXX, WHEN I HAD NOT EVEN APPLIED AT THAT TIME? AND MY SCORE WAS THE SAME SINCE XX/XX/XXXX ACCORDING TO MY ACCOUNT ( XXXX ). This is impossible! I go on my Experian account online from time to time to check my report and score, and my score is currently XXXX. It was XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX on my Experian account. I think I may have been discriminated against, or at the very least, treated unfairly. My husband 's score was higher than mine, and yes, he does not have a high score. His is XXXX.
