I recently filed a complaint with the CFPB. The company responded by saying that they are not responsible for inaccurate information that is posted about this account to the credit bureaus. The company has verified as Accurate to all three credit bureaus stating that their information is correct. The company also responded to the CFPB, still maintaining their information is accurate despite different information being shown in the credit report. The company furnished information that shows the inaccurate information in their response. Their response shows payments I have made, that are not reflected with any of the credit bureaus. I also reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX, in reference to her inquiry and explained what the issues were on the account. With no response to my response. In the response to CFPB it said she was unable to link up with me. I have attached email showing my reaching out to XXXX XXXX. According to the law, I have a right to accurate reporting. 15U.S.C. 1681 s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ), it is unlawful for a person to furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if they know or have reasonable cause to believe that the information is incorrect. I have made the company and XXXX XXXX XXXX aware of the issues, and yet the company refuses to take action. This is not only unfair but unlawful.
