On XX/XX/23 I was sent {$600.00} on Venmo. The person sent me the money right in front of my eyes. We were standing right next to each other and he verbally agreed to send me the money. Later, he filed a dispute with Venmo claiming it was not an authorized transaction. Venmo gave him the money back with no evidence or proof whatsoever. They did not give me a chance to respond to the dispute and now they expect me to pay them. So essentially any user of Venmo could lie and say they want their money back, and Venmo will steal it from the account of their users. This company is unsafe and should not be allowed to operate if they take money out of people 's accounts with no evidence to do so. It is not safe for consumers.
