There are two accounts and some inquiries on my report that after contacting the company and trying to get more information they were unable/refused to give me info to verify the account because whoever set up the account used information that I don't know outside of my personal information so they said i had to file a ftc report XXXX Not sure how its to protect me if I am telling them that I am me and i never set the accounts up. I have attached a copy of the Identity Theft report as well as copy of my ID. The accounts that are fraudulent are as follows : XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022 and XXXX XXXX XXXX inquired on XX/XX/2022. The only thing that makes sense is someone at the lending company misused my info because I was preapproved when i purchased my home so I never gave my info to have them to check for financing. When I called the lender they confirmed they never tried to run my credit because I had a preapproval that covered the cost of the home. With that being said, inquiry law that applies here is 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( c ) ( 1 ) ( A ) ( B ) ( i ) ( 3 ) To credit reporting agency The inquiry was not authorized. Did not consent to unauthorized inquiry.
