I keep getting alerts by email, about my credit. I have not applied for any credit with these companies and these inquiries are unauthorized and/or illegal!! My mom has an alert with XXXX, our cellphone company and it alerted us that our email is on the dark web and my name & Social Security number is too due to a data breach! I took the time to contact each company separately and neither one could give me any information on where this inquiry came from. The only course of action they gave was to the credit bureaus. However, the credit bureaus are stating I need something in writing from each company, before they can remove the unauthorized inquiries. The FCRA states that the only permissible purpose for pulling someone's credit is for : Firm Offer of Credit, insurance, Employment, Court Order. Since I have not applied for or done either of these, the unauthorized credit inquiries are related to none of the aforementioned permissible which are as follows : XXXX/XXXX - XX/XX/23 XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/23 XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/23 Please remove these inquiries from my credit report immediately. I have enclosed a copy of my ID as proof of my identity.
