Consumer Narrative
I am a XXXX Veteran from the XXXX XXXX XXXX, I am in the rebuilding phase of my credit. I made a lot of XXXX decisions in my past that ruined my credit. However, I have been doing things the right way for the past year and my XXXXredit score has increased significantly. I applied for a Secured Credit Card with XXXX it to help me on my journey of rebuilding my credit. I was hoping my card would graduate to an unsecured card after 6 months, so I could get my XXXX dollars deposit that I need so much back. However, that looks IMPOSSIBLE right now. Why? Because yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received like 5 negative notifications about a new collection account added to my credit report from all the different websites and apps that I use to check my credit reports. This collection decreased my credit score by XXXX points. The collection account is a collection from XXXX with a balance of XXXX dollars. It is showing the date opened AS XX/XX/XXXX. I am 100 % SURE that I DO NOT owe XXXX a XXXX. I never received any calls or mail from XXXX or anybody else about this balance. When I switched from XXXX to XXXX, I did not owe XXXX ANYTHING XXXX Therefore, I DO NOT understand why I owe this balance. Anyways, I immediately reached out to XXXX trying to find out what this collection was about, and they told me that MRS BPO COLLECTIONS is the one in charge of the collection account. I immediately reached out to MRS BPO COLLECTIONS, and they told me that that the balance was XXXX dollars which is not the balance that the collection account is showing on the credit bureaus. I do not want to fight this collection fake and fraudulent collection account and waste time. As I mentioned above, I am a XXXX Veteran from XXXX XXXX FORCES with chronic XXXX, chronic anxiety, and chronic XXXX, and this things just add more stress to me and make things worse for me. Therefore, I went ahead and paid the balance in full to MRS BPO COLLECTIONS, even though the balance they say I owe is way different to what they collection account on the credit bureaus is showing. They told me that they would let XXXX know that I paid the balance in full. However, I need this account removed from all of my 3 credit bureaus ASAP. I am 100 % sure that I do not owe XXXX anything as I said above. But this collection account ruined my credit and will prevent my secured card to graduate to an unsecured in a timely manner, since one of the MAIL requirements from XXXX It when graduating secured cards to unsecured is that you can not have any new Negative Accounts added to your credit report. Therefore, please delete this account from my report ASAP. Thank you!
