I submitted a detailed formal letter to Equifax via USPS Certified mail on XX/XX/2023. My letter outlined the concerns that I had regarding specific accounts that were being reported by their bureau as well as a detailed explanation as to why I wanted the inaccuracies investigated and corrected appropriately ; I also attached two FTC reports with documentation for the accounts in question and a copy of my drivers license and Social Security card in order to verify my identity. I contacted Equifax on XX/XX/2023 and spoke with a supervisor named XXXX, who informed me that although Equifax confirmed that they received my dispute and deleted one item from my credit report that was found to be inaccurate they did not investigate any of the other 5 accounts in question, nor did they keep record of the letter or supporting documentation. I filed a formal complaint with XXXX and was then advised that perhaps the documents hadnt been scanned into their system yet and that I would hopefully hear back from someone at Equifax regarding my formal complaint. I find Equifaxs complete failure to investigate this matter and lack of record keeping to be a violation of the FCRA and would like some form of action taken against the representative at Equifax who failed to properly investigate my dispute and lost my original letter and supporting documents.
