Monday I called Capital One to explain that a credit card had been opened and approved with my social security number, and that it was totally fraudulent. I gave them my social security and full name. I was told the card had been approved, a business card for a company called XXXX XXXX. I told them that it wasn't me to please cancel it. I was told to call back in 7 days, I called back in four days to be told that they had mailed the card out already. At first they thought they were talking to the scammers and calling it MY ACCOUNT. I had to explain again, what was happening, even after spending over an hour on phone with them on Monday XX/XX/XXXX. I have life lock and they notified me and stayed with me on the line the entire time. I am now being told the fraudulent card is put on hold and they won't be able to purchase. I had beg Capital One again to PLEASE not let them use this card. I am a victim of Identity Theft, I asked for this card to be closed, Capital One did not take action.
