Consumer Narrative
On XX/XX/23 I spoke with a Navy Federal Supervisor in the Loan department regarding how my checking line of credit was being report to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX credit agencies. The Supervisor said the issue would be escalated and that someone would e-message me or contact me regarding an answer to my concern. I never contacted regarding my concern, so today XX/XX/23, I called NFCU and spoke with a Supervisor in the same department regarding the same issue. The Supervisor informed me the loan was special, and that it was being reported as a revolving account because the account does not have an expiration date. I informed him whether the account is a revolving account or an installment account credit reporting agencies should not be able to access real time balances regarding this particular account or any other account for that matter. I informed him that the practice seems unfair and possibly illegal. Review illustrations of the e-promissary loan agreement from NFCU, my XXXX checking line of credit reports, and the checking line of credit statement ( 16th of each month ) documents for proof.
