We have a XXXX XXXX XXXX in which the transmission has been not working for a year. We still owe XXXX on the car and our payments are {$590.00}. We have spoken to the finance company several times explaining this situation and no one is willing to assist with this matter. We were instructed by XXXX to contact consumer affairs to speak with them about fixing the transmission because we were told by a XXXX representative that the type of transmission in the XXXX models have failed and they no longer use those transmissions anymore. When we spoke with consumer affairs they had us tow the vehicle to the nearest XXXX dealership for inspection. They advised us that they will not fix it because the car is over XXXX miles. We are in the process of doing a voluntary repossession because we are paying a car payment on a inoperable car. The finance company sends emails to contact them to work something out with them but when we call there is not a solution and they tell us the only option is to turn the car back in. This situation is really hurting us financially and we really need help in resolving this matter.
