On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a complaint to TransUnion about multiple inaccuracies on my credit report. They received my complaint and on XX/XX/XXXX acknowledged that there was a dispute of information appearing on my credit report. I asked them to remove all accounts with inaccuracies as a fair resolution but they decided to update the information on my file. Although they claimed to update the information on my credit profile they didnt actually update the information. My credit report as of XX/XX/XXXX has the same inaccuracies from XX/XX/XXXX. TransUnion didnt take the necessary steps to actually update my credit profile with accurate information nor did they remove it per my request. According to 15 U.S. Code 1681 ( b ) It is the purpose of this subchapter to require that consumer reporting agencies adopt reasonable procedures for meeting the needs of commerce for consumer credit, personnel, insurance, and other information in a manner which is fair and equitable to the consumer, with regard to the confidentiality, accuracy, relevancy, and proper utilization of such information in accordance with the requirements of this subchapter. Also according to 15 U.S. Code 1681 ( 4 ) There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy.
