Just got an email purporting to claim that I am a co-signer for a credit application for a " XXXX '' with Transform Credit Loan and purporting to attach a guaranty and imdntiy informaiton along with a promissory note. Fearing a phishing attempt, I am not opening these attachments. ( Needless to say I have not signed any such application, nor do I know of a XXXX that I would do such a thing for ) I will be checking my credit score to see what is going on, but what else shoudl I do to ensure thtat a bogus co-signing obligation has not been created? copy of email as follows : Your Transform Credit Cosigner Application Ref : XXXX Inbox XXXX Attachments XXXX ( XXXX minutes ago ) to XXXX Hi XXXX XXXX Thanks for choosing to be a Cosigner on XXXX XXXX Transform Credit Loan application, we have attached your Guaranty and Indemnity information with this email for you to keep, along with a copy of XXXX XXXX Promisory Note.
